Ginsburg-Pitaevski-Gross differential equation with the Rosen-Morse and modified Woods-Saxon potentials
In this paper, we consider non-linear Ginsburg-Pitaevski-Gross equation with the Rosen-Morse and modifiedWoods-Saxon potentials which is corresponding to the quantum vortices and has important applications in turbulence theory. We use the Runge- Kutta-Fehlberg approximation method to solve the resulting non-linear equation.
متن کاملGeometric and projective instability for the Gross-Pitaevski equation
Using variational methods, we construct approximate solutions for the Gross-Pitaevski equation which concentrate on circles in R. These solutions will help to show that the L flow is unstable for the usual topology and for the projective distance.
متن کاملGross-Pitaevski equation and resonances in Bose-Einstein condensates
– The investigation provides a criterion for the occurrence of resonances for the scattering by potentials. The Gross-Pitaevski equation, used in describing physical properties in Bose-Einstein condensates, is not compatible with the occurrence of the observed resonances. On the other hand, Geltman-Bambini and Krauss-Stevens potentials could fulfill this criterion. It has been customary to use ...
متن کاملTwo center shell model with Woods-Saxon potentials: adiabatic and diabatic states in fusion
A realistic two-center shell model for fusion is proposed, which is based on two spherical Woods-Saxon potentials and the potential separable expansion method. This model describes the single-particle motion in a fusing system. A technique for calculating stationary diabatic states is suggested which makes use of the formal definition of those states, i.e., they minimize the radial nonadiabatic...
متن کاملPolynomial Solutions of Shcrödinger Equation with the Generalized Woods−Saxon Potential
The bound state energy eigenvalues and the corresponding eigenfunctions of the generalized Woods−Saxon potential are obtained in terms of the Jacobi polynomials. Nikiforov-Uvarov method is used in the calculations. It is shown that the results are in a good agreement with the ones obtained before. PACS: 03.65.-w; 02.30.Gp; 03.65.Ge; 68.49.-h; 24.10.Ht
متن کاملA comparison of Woods-Saxon and double-folding potentials for lithium scattering from light target nuclei
Elastic scattering data are presented for 6Li at 36 MeV from 12C, I6O and 26Mg and for 'Li at 28.8 MeV from I5N and at 27 MeV from "Mg over the range 15-95O in the centre-of-mass frame. Microscopic optical potentials are generated for these scattering systems using the double-folding model. The sensitivity of the potentials to the prescriptions used for the nuclear density calculations is studi...
